Dominic
A. Munafo, M.D., DABSM
Dr.
Munafo received his M.D. from Baylor College of Medicine in
Houston, Texas. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine
at Baylor and spent additional time researching the cardiovascular
consequences of sleep disordered breathing. He completed a four-year
Pulmonary Critical Care fellowship at the University of California
San Diego, and joined the institution's faculty in 1993 as an
assistant professor. In 1995 he entered private practice in
North County San Diego and worked there until becoming Sleep
Data's medical director in June 2000. Dr. Munafo is board certified
in Sleep Medicine, Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Medicine, and Critical Care
Medicine.
JoAnna
Munafo, M.S.
The
President and co-founder of Sleep Data, JoAnna is responsible
for daily operations and marketing. She was awarded B.S. and
M.S. degrees in exercise physiology from the University of Kansas
in 1990. JoAnna has worked with cardiac and pulmonary patients
in various capacities since 1985. In 1991 she began working
at the University of California San Diego and as the pulmonary
lab supervisor, was a key participant in the establishment of
the sleep disordered breathing program. She has extensive experience
in the diagnosis and treatment of patients with obstructive
sleep apnea. While at UCSD she also served as a clinical trial
coordinator. In 1998 JoAnna began working full time at Sleep
Data.
Jill Minch
The
Vice-President and co-founder of Sleep Data, Jill is responsible
for clinical operations and training. She has a strong background
in cardiopulmonary medicine having played key roles in the establishment
of several lung function labs in San Diego. Prior to starting
Sleep Data, she was a cardiopulmonary technician in the pulmonary
division at the Veterans Affairs Hospital in La Jolla, California
for twenty-five years. In 1992 she was instrumental in the development
of the sleep disordered breathing programs at both the VA and
University of California San Diego hospitals. She has worked
for homecare companies and has far reaching experience in the
diagnosis and treatment of patients with obstructive sleep apnea.
Jill began working full time with Sleep Data in 1996.
Tom DeGraff
A
co-founder of Sleep Data, Tom was a cardiopulmonary technician
at the Veterans Affairs Hospital in La Jolla, California for
twenty-seven years. As the chief technician he had extensive
experience with lung function testing, blood gas analysis, and
the use of biomedical equipment. He played a key role in the
development of the sleep disordered breathing program at the
VA hospital. A talented software engineer, Tom developed Sleep
Data's analysis software for scoring sleep studies and is in
charge of the company's information systems and networking.
After retiring from the VA hospital he has been a computer consultant
for various San Diego companies until 2001 when he began full-time
employment at Sleep Data.
Robert Ford, RCP, Esq.
A
co-founder of Sleep Data, Bob holds a B.S. degree in biology
from the University of California Davis. He is a licensed Respiratory
Care Practitioner and is registered with the National Society
of Cardio-Pulmonary Technology. He was employed in the pulmonary
divisions of the UC system for over twenty years as a cardiopulmonary
technologist, a Respiratory Care Practitioner, and computer
programmer analyst. Bob has extensive knowledge in lung function
testing and blood gas analysis and assisted the National Respiratory
Care Board in determining standards of pulmonary function testing
certification. He was awarded a Jurist Doctorate from the University
of San Diego in 1996 and currently serves on the board of directors
of Sleep Data as secretary. Bob is also involved in managing
information systems and contracting issues.

Jorge Talamantez, CRTT
Joseph R. Resnikoff, M.D.
Dr. Resnikoff received his M.D. from New York University School
of Medicine and completed his residency in Internal Medicine
at University of Michigan Medical Center. He completed a fellowship
in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at University of California,
San Diego in 1998 and spent an additional year at UCSD as
a clinical instructor. While at UCSD, Dr. Resnikoff investigated
the interaction between sleep disordered breathing and pulmonary
hypertension. In 1999, he began private practice in San Diego,
and is currently on the teaching staff at Scripps Hospital.
Dr. Resnikoff is board certified in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary
Medicine, and Critical Care Medicine and has had advanced
training with internationally renown sleep experts. He has
accumulated extensive experience in Sleep Medicine, with a
particular focus on sleep apnea.
